Sony Releases Rolly: World Yawns
So Sony finally announced Rolly and frankly it looks like a glorified iDog. I don’t get it and I don’t think Sony gets it either.

Who knew pee held so much power? Aqua Power scientists in Japan have developed rechargeable batteries that can run on, among other liquids such as water, urine. NoPoPo batteries can only be re-charged a limited number of times, and aren’t as powerful as many of the other rechargeables on the market, it’s certainly possible to imagine a situation where this would come in handy.
While this is pretty cool from a pure technology standpoint, I’m left with two lingering questions. Why on earth would anyone want to pee into their battery if they could just fill it up at a faucet, and who still uses regular batteries anyway. I’ve had 4 awesome USBcell AA’s sitting in their packaging since Macworld, and I still haven’t found a use for them. [via]

The GE “Find It” remote will, with the push of a button, will help you locate either your keys or remote control based on its beeps. Novel idea letting one device find another but what happens if your lose both? Ever since I purchased my first laptop almost 9 years ago I have always struggled to find a way to fill those little expansions slots they had. The best find, by far, for my MacBook Pro is an express card that has a card reader built in, so I never need to worry about cables when I travel.
SanDisk has joined Belkin and Griffin by offering a Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter that supports a wider array of media (SD, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, MMCplus, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo) and higher transfer rates. You can bet I’ll trade my Belkin in sometime later this month when San Disk releases the product for $29.99.
It slices, it dices, it minces and its office equipment. No, this isn’t some lame late night infomercial Swiss gear is selling the Swiss Business Tool which includes a stapler, hole punch, staple remover, 2.4-inch scissors and blade, and even a nail file and cleaner (as all good Swiss devices do!)
Available in green, black, red, or gray and for $50.00.
Get a load of Sony’s Rolly. Not much information available but there’s talk of it being like a “pet” for people a la Sony’s own AIBO. I don’t know what to think of it. Maybe when we can get a list of features, price and why we even need one before we can give it some serious thought. Look out for more information sometime soon, we assume.

Winding down this summer season is a shocking water gun from Russia. A real weapons manufacturer decided that they should dabble with creating a water gun that shoots a stream of water with an electric flow. Although the now the device isn’t making a splash right away, the company is hoping that their electrical super soaker will fire 2 to 7 lbs. of water at a distance of 17 feet. Zaaaaaaap!
As a follow up to our post earlier on the new Nokia phones we should ask if you think this video reminds you of anything? Luckily Nokia is a decent company so I imagine they would make this phone like what the iPhone should have been, more open as Nokia phones are.
