I’m a fan of nostalgia. I love retro computing, I love classic hardware, I love vintage operating systems. So when this application crossed my way, I had to use it.

BootXChanger makes it stupidly simple to change your Mac’s boot logo. Turn the drab boring Apple logo into something that means something to you! In the DMG they include a few sample images ranging from the original rainbow Apple logo to the classic 2-bit B&W “Happy Mac”.

There are also instructions on how to create your own boot logo, but the developer cautions you about the VERY strict requirements that are necessary to get the logo to display. My advice stick with the stock ones.

You can’t best the price: Free! Thanks Anthony!
