Like using Apple’s inline headphone remote, but not so thrilled with Apple’s headphone quality? This little dongle is here to help!

The iEA15 is an in-line remote that’s compatible with iPhones and iPods, including the third-generation iPod Shuffle, which doesn’t have any physical buttons on the unit. The in-line remote supports the VoiceOver feature found on the Shuffle as well, but what makes this interesting is that it lets you plug in any headphone you like to your Apple device and still have the convenience of a remote control.

No word yet on the pricing, but this is certainly something that really Apple should have included in the box when they ship their iPods.

  1. If it had only had a mic..! It could have been soooo cool!

I agree, if this thing had a mic I’d be all over it. I really miss the convenience being able to use headphones & handsfree phone from one set of ‘phones, but Apple’s earbuds don’t fit well in my (evidently) oddly shaped ears, and they sound like crap anyway.
