Technology Metaphors
Came across three interesting technology metaphors / observations:

If Twitter were a phone company, you could only call people who used the same phone company as you.IPHONE
If the iPhone were a desktop computer, you could only install applications approved by Microsoft (or Apple).DVD
If DVDs were books, you couldn’t read a book from Europe while in North America (oh, and you also need secret decoder glasses).
In fairness to the Twitter comment. When SMS first came out (or email for that matter) you could only communicate to the same people in your service. The sad thing is I’m old enough to remember that.
Care to add any to the list? [via]

If the iPhone were a desktop computer, there would be no viruses and it would be very nice !
If iPhone were a desktop computer, you could store your desk, chair, and likewise tiny sofa bed all in a shoebox.
