Kinda lame…. I think this remote CAN work with a wide variety of models. It must still be programmed and for this, you need access to the garage door motor, where the signal is received. The garage door motor will not activate unless it receives a signal from a GDO it recognises, and for this to work, it needs to learn the frequency of the GDO.
I agree this story is a little misleading,
Not to mention “they” have been making universal openers for years!
