I don’t think this is the new mac mini. Look at the power button on the back, it sticks out. Apple loves making things flush, and look all one piece. Love the amount of usb ports though.

    Maybe!

Although the video that was posted yesterday might have been a fake, this video does look legit. But, then again there is the possibility that the maker of this video was crazy enough to make a custom plastic back panel for his Mac Mini just to trick people into believing it is real.

thats what i thought at 1st…. i mean i have seen some AMAZING mods before.

    NO!

  4. Stephen says:

Fake, complete fake. No way Apple brings a “NEW” Mac mini out in the same old case and colors with 5 USB ports no less!

This one is as good as the iPhone nano cases, just plain silly.

You know what the only discernible difference between the Mac Mini G4 and Mac Mini Intel is, without turning it on? The G4 had a pair of USB ports, the Intel has 4 of them. Considering that the Steve really likes that aluminum finish, I think it’s plausible that the next Mac Mini is going to look pretty much the same as the current one and the last one.

only things that make me wonder about the realness of it is the fact that it has two display out ports…

people say the 5 usbs… but keyboard1,mouse2,printer3,webcam4,speakers5 it makes sense to me at least.

apart from that i think its real.

    • bob says:

Yeah, it actually only needed 3 USB ports under your line of thought (mouse connects to keyboard, webcam is built into the new Apple Cinema LED, and the USB printer…)

The two display out ports would be nice, and the chipset it’s going to be based on (GeForce 9400) would support two ports using the displayport standard… bit it’s hard to believe that Apple would give that feature to the low man on the totem pole.
