Who doesn’t love the ability to add a little flare to their text messages? For 99 cents you can enable Emoji on your iPhone and have fun spamming all our other iPhone toting friends.

#1. Get this $0.99 app called frostyplace from the iTunes store
#2. Play with the app for a minute to activate, click on a story, etc
#3. Go into you settings -> General > International > Keyboards > Japanese
#4. Click the Emoji option to on!
#5. Text anyone with an iPhone and they’ll get your icons!

You can snag the application here.

Props to iJustine for pointing this out. As an added tip once you activate the Emoji keyboard, you can remove the application from your phone.

So I can text someone without this app on their iPhone and it will still show? Very cool if so.

  2. Matt says:

Ian, yep apparently these icons are already in the iPhone OS for use overseas, where every phone has them.

  3. Michael says:

Hmm, mine does not appear to be working.
