We’ve Come A Long Way With Computers… Especially With Their Ads

Remember your first 9,600bps modem? How about your Tandy? NeXT? We have come a long way in the personal computing revolution but I think the most evolution would have to be the advertising for the computer.
Browsing through Flickr I found a few vintage ads that just warmed my heart.

That is quite something… My dad would give me his old Personal Computer World mags, I can still remember many of the adverts even now 25 years on.
I wonder how long it will take until non-geeks realise just what a massive impact computing in going to have on every aspect of our lives 20 years from now.
Predicting computing 10 years from now is difficult but doable, but 20 years… not a chance!
Had trouble finding the ad I wanted, but I like it when they include the bargain you are getting.
