Oh my god! I grew up watching this guy!
Wow, I loved listening to this guy (I have almost all of his albums); it’s sad that he passed. RIP

gonna miss Mr.Carlin… glad I got to see him in my lifetime, was a great comedian and awesome mind.
I didn’t care for him or his humor, but his Filthy Words routine is a foundational item for what I would suspect to be all mass communication and media production programs at universities nation-wide. The court case surrounding that routine was instrumental in defining the powers of the FCC over indecency, and indeed the definition of indecency on broadcast television.
