Big Day for Palm: Centro Now On Verizon and New Native Facebook Application

When it rains it pours over at Palm HQ. The popular (one million strong) Centro has joined the ranks over at Verizon making the device available on three major US cell networks. The details are as folows: Available in Cobalt Blue for $99.99 (with rebate and 2-year contract) and requires Verizons (much more affordable) Email and Web for Smartphone plan at $29.99 a month.
Also today Palm announced a native Facebook application for all Palm OS handhelds. With the new Palm crafted application you can You can use Facebook for Palm to: Send and receive messages, View and post status updates, View and post photos from your smartphone, See your friends’ profiles and photos, Read and write Wall posts, View News Feed, Upload videos taken from your Palm smartphone, Use a mobile “Contacts” tab that aggregates friends phone numbers – view your list of friends and dial or text them directly.
