A Rumor That Won’t Die: T-Mobile Still Looking to Buy Sprint
This post was published 1 year 10 months 16 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.This rumor has been off and on for years and I continue to scratch my head on why a budget GSM provider would want to buy buy a really screwed up CDMA/WiMAX/iDen provider.
Deutsche Telekom might be interested in buying the Sprint Nextel network in the USA. Combining that with its own T-Mobile USA would make it the No:1 US network. [...]
Deutsche Telekom’s deliberations are at a preliminary stage and management may very well turn away, these people cautioned. If a bid is launched for Sprint Nextel, which has a stock-market capitalization of $22 billion and is the No. 3 player in the U.S. wireless market, it could still be weeks, or even months, away, they added.
I don’t know, but I think that Sprint being bought by T-Mobile will be the potential downfall of both companies. Agree?
I don’t necessarily understand these situations but could this be a good or bad thing for a T-mobile customers?
@MYKE
depends I suppose…. would be nice to be able to buy any type of phone ever made in the past 5-7 years and have it work on your network regardless of it’s “spectrum”.
