Ok, who is with me in the fact that they don’t care or are numb to the incessant rumor mongering regarding the existence or the non existence of a 3G iPhone. I don’t care what day it will be announced, who is making it, how big its gonna be – I’m tired of the MONTHS of speculation from small hobbyist websites to the Wall Street Journal.

Lets sum it up here. There will be a 3G iPhone before the earth spins off its axis and hurtles to the Sun. Guess what, there will be a 4G iPhone too. Why don’t we get the rumors starting now – I hear it will grant eternal life!

We don’t care that you don’t care… :) Apple has always had the masses flock to speculation. You’re not going to change that anytime soon. It’s just a fact of tech… Live with it.

I’m a mostly happy iPhone owner and I agree – the “news” is tiresome. Besides, Exchange support is much more important to me than 3G.

  3. Odds are, there will be a 4G iPhone (not for quite some time, it’ll probably be the 3rd or 4th iPhone); since AT&T is pioneering 4G networks (completely IP based, instead of current network setups which essentially still rely on old PBX technology for the hand-offs), phone will eventually need to go to 4G.

But yeah, I agree; too much speculation on the 3G – of course they will make one, why wouldn’t they? It’ll happen when Apple’s ready to release; until then, be happy with your EDGE phone or shut up :P

You know what’s kinda ironic about this?
There was going to be an iphone – period.
And yet, there was hype. Lots of it. Oh joy.

I heard the 4G iPhone will tap into your brain and use ESP to create Text Messages.

But seriously, I’m a non-iPhone user, that is waiting for the 3G to be dropped before I switch to ATT. And all this ‘news’ is just making me pissed that we don’t have an official date for purchase. I’m sick of the speculation. I want facts. And the only facts that I trust come from Mr. Steve Jobs. And, unfortunately, he hasn’t been responding to my voicemails.

I also find it awesome that you moderate comments to your liking. My last comment was not spam, so why is it still awaiting “moderation” while you’ve “approved” 5 others since then.

I do cover news about the iPhone on my blog but I usually don’t post on EVERYTHING like so many other blogs do. I usually wait a few days until news comes out that whatever was originally stated is wrong or changed or whatever, this way I don’t have to post multiple times about the same news item. I also try to keep the stories about the iPhone to a minimum by not reporting on every rumor, only reporting on the rumors that seem to actually have some substance to them cuts down on the annoying iPhone posts to just a a few a week.
