With a recent study finding that most iPhone users carry two Phones (using the iPhone for data a music only), it made me wonder what our readers did.

How many Phones do you carry? What phone is it? Who is your preferred carrier? Sound off in the comments.

    I carry:
    Apple iPhone 16gb
    Blackberry 8703e
    Casio Gz’One

  2. Stephen says:

I guess I’m on of the oddballs that just carries an iPhone. The whole point of it is that it’s a phone that can do all kinds of other stuff, so why carry another one? I would probably go with Verizon (my previous carrier) as my carrier of choice if I could, but AT&T isn’t too shabby.

  3. Ryan says:

    samsung blackjack II

  4. Michael says:

I’m one of the oddballs that doesn’t carry a phone at all. If I did, it would be voice only – Id leave computing up to computers. Nothing against smart phones, they’re just not a comfortable computing experience for me, nor are they worth the cost.

  5. Boris says:

I carry just my iPhone. The carrier is vip, in Croatia.
No visual voice mail, but that’s fine with me :)

  6. Ian says:

I’m using my iPhone exclusively. Compare that to carrying around my old BB Pearl, iPod, and digital camera.

  7. Dan says:

Michael… I envy you! I am under the mobile phone spell and I can’t break free!

  8. Joe Eversole says:

BlackBerry Pearl. I have an iPod I use when at work for music.

  9. xoRD says:

got this very old phone. Nokia 3310. only use for voice and texting. got an eeePc with 3g card. that’s enough for data

  10. My old trusty iPhone 8GB and a Bang & Olufsen Serene. Usually just take the iPhone with me, though – but the B&O has great call quality, so when I’m home, and someone calls me I usually pick up on that one. And it looks nice on my desk.

  11. Leslie says:

I use my iPhone for everything also. :D

  12. Chris Jennings says:

    Treo 755p and that’s it. I think I want a Blackberry though.

  13. Carlos says:

I carry my shiny Motorola Razr V3 and an HTC XV6700 in my backpack for Internet on the go.

  14. AlliXSenoS says:

    HTC TyTN II — awesomeness

  15. adelle says:

i carry my iphone for everything as well. I just bring a camera when im on vacation :)

  16. Matt says:

Sony Ericcson V630i on Vodafone UK

Can’t see why every likes the iPhone, mine can do everything the iPhone can and costs £60. Only difference is mine has actual buttons instead of fake ones on the touthc screen, which is really horrible to use (Yes I have tried it).

  17. Tice says:

Only my Sony Ericsson T650i. The iPhone would be great, but T-Mobile has the worst tariffs of the whole world. Sorry Apple, wrong partner.

  18. KTPD says:

    Sony Ericsson p1i.
    sony ericsson w880.

one is a work phone, the other isn’t

  19. chad says:

blackberry 8320 serves all my mobile needs

  20. kaveh says:

Mainly the Windows Mobile variety, and occasionally an iPhone. Like them both for different reasons.

Have used BlackBerry, Nokia and SE devices, but didn’t find a strong reason to switch.

  21. Jim says:

I think my HTC TyTN II is great (at&t Tilt). Does everything I need it to do and with the variety of cooked roms available, it runs like a champ! (much better than out of the box)

  22. Zack says:

Before it got stolen, I carried a Motorola W490. Not nearly as nice as my (previously stolen) PEBL, but decent enough to talk and text on.

  23. Johansen says:

Just carry the iphone. Being able to be connected 24/7 has paid for the phone within just a few weeks. The idea of an iphone was to carry just one device and not the phone, ipod, laptop i used to lug around.

  24. John says:

I just got a Nokia N95-3 and basically carry that everywhere along with my 16GB iPod Touch.

  25. Addi says:

    iPhone 8GB

    that is all

  26. O Dawg says:

    Palm Treo 650.

I was doing the music/data/phone thing way before it was trendy to do so.

  27. gnd says:

    I carry a Nokia N70 and Ipod 80GB.

  28. MATT says:

    ETEN Glofiish X500 (Fido, Canada)

I like it because it has all features I need in one small box and what’s important for me (that the iPhone doesn’t have) is its GPS functionality which I use several times a week

  29. skeandhu says:

I am carrying a Treo 680, a Motorola Razor and a Blackberry Curve

  30. Jason says:

iPhone 8GB unlocked on T-Mobile. Nothing else.

  31. Tech^CF says:

    HTC TyTN II
Nokia 1112 (backup phone in my laptop bag)

  32. Joaquin says:

I carry my SonyEricsson K750. It has 3MP camera and flash (Iphone doesn’t have anything close to that). My carrier is Telcel in Mexico.

  33. Justin says:

I carry a t-mobile shadow, a pretty slick little workhorse of a phone if you ask me. Would get an iPhone if not on AT&T.

  34. Masta' B says:

    8GB iPhone, all I need.

  35. Russ Turley says:

Treo 700p on Verizon. Bulky, but fast with EVDO.

  36. maique says:

while i wait for the iphone (i will carry only this one, once it gets here), i have a nokia n95 8gb (personal phone) and a low-end sony ericsson (company assigned).

  37. Hiphopopotamus says:

Blackberry 8830 (verizon)….works everywhere including trips to China. I hate to admit it, but I love it thanks to the super fast internet and instant e-mail access. For music, I pretty much only use my Slacker portable now (occasionally use my 80gb ipod).

Originally had an iPhone 8gb (I work for a design firm and boss got one for all senior management when they first came out), but quickly found that it is next to unusable in NYC thanks to ATT crappy service (I work in heart of SOHO on top floor of bldg next to Apple store and could only get service in 2 parts of office). Also, couldn’t stand that it takes about 10 minutes after you get above ground after getting off subwy for the phone to start working. Its too bad since iPhone is beautiful and I wanted it to work so bad, but with the minimum refresh time for e-mails being every 15mns (when you could get a connection) vs the instant e-mail access with the Blackberry, I had to switch to an ugly ass Blackberry. Gave my iPhone to my boss who just does text messaging since he left his iPhone in a cab again (he is on his 5th one!…and as you know you can’t insure the iPhone).

Keeping fingers crossed that either ATT will improve in NYC otherwise just going to wait until iPhones are on a better service (and have a usable amount of storage….anything less than 40gb is useless for me).

  38. Doug says:

Why not just get a iPod touch and not waste money?
    stupid.

I have a Sony Ericsson K810i, I’m on Vodaphone UK.
but on Tuesday the phone went weird, I think I need to update the firmware….but I run Linux, oh joy!

  39. fsy says:

I’m happy to say that I just got my 32GB iPhone, you heard right 32G.

  40. Larry says:

    Nokia 6126 with at&t

  41. Jeff says:

    BlackBerry Curve. Love it.

  42. Jaime says:

I have a BlackBerry Pearl, LG Shine, Motorola Q9 and an O2 Cocoon. Most of them I use when I travel, the BB is for the US, Shine for UK, Motorola for Australia and the O2 for Asia.

  43. jC! says:

    iPhone 4GB on T-Mobile – That’s it. Love it!
