Forget the Rental Car, Make Your Next Vacation Walkable

Ever go on vacation and wonder what’s close to your hotel while staring at the in room literature? WalkScore hopes to solve that question with a really cool Google Maps mashup.
Originally designed as a tool to let you know local stores in your town and encourage to you save the environment by walking, this site can be repurposed as a vacation planner. All you need to do is enter your hotels address and WalkScore you will know whats near by and how to walk there.
Could be a great tool to solve the inevitable “what can you eat around here” question or help you find a drug store so you can buy some replacement toothpaste for the one the TSA confiscated from you.

Would be sweet if I could download it to my TomTom…like Google Maps does. Yes, I realize it says to walk instead of drive…but still would be nice.
