The readers are picking up different elements of your RSS feed. Google Reader (which I use) picks up the entire post - which is located in the element. Others probably just use the element - which only contains some truncated version of the post.

If it's the 'more' tag, there are a couple of plugins to overcome it... I use "Full Text Feed" though the author says it will no longer be needed with WP 2.5.

A couple of things I would check-

1- If Wordpress is your back end, the MORE tag could be trimming the posts if the reader sees it.
2- Check the Summary Burner setting in Feedburner Optimize. If it's active, some readers may be getting the first 200-250 words.

I don't use the .Mac reader on the iPhone as I'm a Google Reader man myself. However, I wonder if that reader has the same feature as the reader in Safari does. In Safari when you read feeds, you can move a slider to choose the article length shown. That would explain one possibility, but I'm just guessing.

I wish I could answer, but I second this problem. I also have the problem where the Feedburner skin sometimes shows and sometimes doesn't (in the same browser during the same session.) I also cannot seem to get images to show in one feed, but they show fine in another... Strange.
