NewsFire RSS Reader Free.
Desktop based RSS reader NewsFire is now free. The program is regarded as being among the most aesthetically pleasing desktop RSS clients available. This comes after Newsgator announced it was giving away its RSS programs, FeedDemon and NetNewsWire for PC and Mac respectively for free in January.
The program will have no advertising, no feature restrictions and only one version available. How exactly revenue will be made with this model, if any, is yet to be seen. The program previously cost $18.99

You know, I used to be all over programs like NewsFire, PulpFiction, and I even bought NetNewsWire. However, Google Reader is just much more convenient with the integration of all their apps. I always have my new items no matter where I read it from and the Iphone version is awesome. I think that is exactly why readers like NewsFire and NetNewsWire are going free. Anyway, free is always good!

I haven’t heard the term program in a while…I kept rereading the post to figure out why it sounded weird.
