Google Launches Chatback

Google Talk is a bare-bones messenger that I keep running even though my friends don’t really use it. Now, I don’t need my friends to chat thanks to a new feature called Google Talk Chatback which is a way for me to chat with anybody, after I embed some HTML code. You don’t need to be a Google Talk user, just click on the bubble and we’ll be chatting in no time! So, why not try it out? I’ve embedded it above, feel free to say hi, submit a link you think might be of interest or tell me the meaning of life.

This feature, of course, is nothing very new as Meebo has it’s Meebo Me widget that embeds directly on the page. Google Talk Chatback works as a pop-up. My new IM client of choice, Digsby, also has a widget feature. Which do you prefer?
