iTunes accounts, for everyone
If like myself you’ve been pretty cheesed off that you can’t get an iTunes account because Apple doesn’t have an iTunes Store in your country yet, here is the solution for you to get one.
1) Go here, enter a (fake) email, agree with the terms, and hit “Generate my code!”. Now copy the generated code to your clipboard.
2) Open iTunes and click on the iTunes Store link.
3) On the right hand side under “Quick links”, click on “Redeem”.
4) Paste the code from the clipboard and hit “Redeem”. It will tell you that the code has expired: no worries!
5) Click on the Home button of the store, and then click on “Login” at the top right. Now Create a New Account.
6) You will realize that in the Credit Card details you can now choose “none” as an option.
Tada! Now you use the “Get Album Artwork” feature in iTunes and get any free songs available.
Note: As an address, I used the Cupertino contact detail that came with Address Book.

Make sure to follow the directions!
The code is no longer good but you can still make an account w/o a credit card!

I’m guessing you can attach a credit card to it later if necessary?
I only ask because I just got an iTunes gift card from a friend yet I don’t actually have an iTunes account.

It’s an old code, but the instructions say that. All it does is grant you the ability to select none for CC.
