Create a Custom iPhone Web Clips Icon
Posted in Apple by Dan at 1:31 am

Want readers of your website to have a shiny designed icon for your website when they add it as a web clipping?
All you need to do is upload a 57×57 PNG to the root directory of your website and call it “apple-touch-icon.png” and the next time a user tries making a web clipping they will have a neat little icon instead of boring text.

The iPhone / iPod touch software automatically adds the glossy effect and rounded corners to images doesn’t it?
