Overpriced and underfeatured. Yay Apple.
I like my wife’s Averatec, small thin, DVD burner, many USB ports and pretty quick, all for less than $1000.

Not cheap at all. Probably the regular MacBook will have a better acceptance than this Macbook AIr

1 USB port, no CD Drive. This is perfect for watching DVD’s anywhere, having a mouse plugged in along with an iPod or flash drive! Oh and whenever I can, I’m always going to want to plug this into a projector! I bet the battery life is just as crappy as an iPod too!

This is a disappointment.

It’s not even a Macbook Pro light, because of it’s slower processor, which is to me to biggest disappointment, especially after Intel’s Octo core announcement of last week. I was hoping this type of speed would be one of the main selling points, rather than just portability.
My Macbook needs to be replaced, and I guess I’ll have to go for a new one, or a Pro. If only the price on the Air had been a few hundred bucks lower, it could have justified loss of speed…

So essentially this is MacBook Pro Lite. Kinda nice, cause the only thing stopping me from going the MBP route in May was the larger 15″ size. But, alas, I don’t know how hugely successful this will be due to the MB being essentially the same machine, just thicker. I suppose if you’re a business executive where style and size really matter, then I can understand.
