Don’t let Google mobilize your website, specify Mowser instead
Anyone who uses their mobile handset to browse the internet while their significant other is busy shopping while waiting in line at the coffee shop knows that Google mobilizes results. Meaning, if you use Google to search for something, the company will check to see if the resulting page has a mobile version – if it does not, Google takes it upon themselves to create one for you. A very chivalrous deed yet one that is sure to or annoy. Fortunately, disabling this "feature" is as simple as visiting the Settings located at the bottom of your mobile Google search page.
If, by chance, you do want your pages to be served in a mobile friendly format (without having to go through the process of creating a mobile-specific stylesheet), you’re in luck. Russel Beattie, creator of Mowser, outlines the reasons why someone should want to use Mowser over Google for automated creation of mobile pages. Russel even explains how to force Mowser to be used to convert your pages with a little snippet of HTML added to the <head> of your website.
