The Dash Express, an always connected data driven GPS unit that Paul S has been gushing over, has a preorder price and release date.

In February the dash is expected to retail for $600 (which includes three months of service) with a monthly service fee of $13 after that.

Or just get an iPhone with one of the coming GPS add-ons. :-)

Yeah, no kidding. $600 is pretty steep for a GPS these days. And a monthly service fee? I’d rather save the $13 and spend a few cents more on gas here and there.

    A monthly fee…come on that’s crazy…I might as well buy a map and get a AAA membership…

Can you use it without the $13 a month using the GPS but just not get the ” local gas prices in stations near where you are driving, movie showtimes, and live traffic data” ?

    Hi-

This is Gina Bender from Dash Navigation. Kenny- the Dash Express does work as a typical GPS without the monthly service fee. It has maps and points of interest on board. Thanks for all of the comments. We sure think that our device is much more powerful than a map and AAA :-)
