Sprint Removes Regulatory Fees, Lets You Get Out of Your Contract?
Sprint today has decided it will no longer charge customers a “Federal Programs Cost Recovery”, “Federal E911″ or “Wireless Local Number Portability” fees. These fees are NOT taxes and will be replaced by a flat “Administrative charge” and “Regulatory charge.”
This may constitute a material change to your contract and under the terms of the agreement it may allow you to terminate the contact with no fee or penalty. I’ve reached out to Sprint for comment, and waiting for their reply.

@ Dan Let us know…
My warnings…
If you cancel with Sprint directly, then your old number does not become portable. So make sure you double check (even though we trust ya dan!) and transfer your number during the new service sign-up.

Sure, it works, but if you plan on using this angle, prepare for a fight. I got on the phone with them, battled it out with the CSR for about 15 minutes and eventually put my girlfriend on the line who used to be an attorney. Man she was great!! It still makes me laugh when I think of the sh*t she pulled on them.
