Fan Made iPod Touch Ad Hits the Airwaves
18 year old English student Nick Haley, just for fun, designed and created the above iPod touch ad. After a few days of it floating around on YouTube people responsible for marketing at Apple in got in touch with Nick about producing a professional version of the commercial.
The message said, “‘We represent Apple, and we’ve seen what you have produced, and we’d like a chat with you,’” Haley recalled, adding, “This seemed ridiculous and far-fetched. My initial reaction was, someone wanted to steal it.”
He was soon convinced that the message was real and came to Los Angeles this month, in his first visit to the United States, to work on a broadcast-ready version of his spot with creative executives at TBWA/Chiat/Day, part of the TBWA Worldwide division of the Omnicom Group.
Below is the actual Ad put out by TBWA/Chiat/Day and Nick Haley:

it makes me feel anxious when I watch it, so fast, so many hard cuts. … this is without audio of course.
I think the dude should remember that in their TOS, youtube states they own EVERY single little byte of information uploaded (i.e. the videos) on their site and they can use it for whatever they want. But since he’s already in LA they aren’t going to steal it.
But it’s a sick advert. Congrats!
Does anyone know the artist who sings the song in the ad?
