Who know Windows was so musical. Anyone else like the beta startup chime of Vista then the current one?

  1. Oh yeah. The Windows Vista Beta startup sound is really cool – a whole lot better then the Windows Vista sound, and even better then the Brian Eno one. Sounds like something out of Myst.

Yeah, liking the sounds in Vista here actually.

i personally prefer whistler, it’s pretty. though that may just be me.

I actually prefer no startup sound. I don’t need Windows to let me know it’s still not quite ready to use. Damn thing isn’t fully usable for at least 30 seconds after the desktop shows up.

I am Windows supporter, however i do wish that it was more like mac osx statup, where you can see which stage of the startup it is at. and in that case then the sound should be at the very end of the start up sequence, not the start of it.

I like the windows ME version… mostly because you never had to hear it, the damn system would crash before it ever had a chance to play ;)

  7. AlliXSenoS says:

if anyone has the vista beta startup sound, please send it to me ( allixsenos at gmail dot com )

    thanks!

  8. mikimis says:

I second that request….if you’ve got the vista beta startup sound, I’d be most grateful for a copy.

  9. AlliXSenoS says:

@mikimis and everyone else, I have it… email me for a copy, ( allixsenos at gmail dot com )

  10. Justin says:

Was that an official sound for the Vista Beta? I remember downloading it a while back from a forum…
