Which tech company would you follow for a religion? If you answered Google, you’re a) severely disturbed and b) totally right, because apparently Google is God, or the closest thing to it. If you’re already using Gmail, Google Calendar, Orkut or any of Google’s other services, you’re pretty much a member now, aren’t you? Bonus points if you can guess that if Google is God who Satan is.

    Satan = Microsoft

    You totally win!

    Omg I wasn’t fast enough. I was gonna say ms too.
    BTW, if someone worships yahoo, do they get stoned (passive form) by the googlians?
    And are web browsers like churches for google?

  4. Evan says:

    Hah, some good questions. Sadly I am not ordained to answer, I am just a reporter.

    Oh come on!

    Good religions destroy their non-allies. Christians killed during the Iquisition, during the Holy Wars (for the Holy Grail) and in South America for a few examples.

    Microsoft has been in legal trouble for pirating over 35 times, makes manufacturers sign exclusionary license deals, makes the public BUY beta software, etc..

    Google hasn’t overrun a single company that I know of, hasn’t been caught doing very many illegal things, and only collects data on you so that their computers can “know everything about you.” (per their CEO.)

    Google has a lot more work to do before gaining religious status, whereas Bill Gates is god.

    Sweet ass, another MS is Satan diatribe…except even more juvenile than before! Shallow post, with no material point whatsoever…just name calling. I didn’t know we were back in 2002.

    UneasySilence FTW

    @Dan, if you haven’t followed the critics of Google in the last few years, you should. Google is far from indemnified of wrong doing.

    E.T. COOK – Just to let you know, it’s all fun. I like Google and I like Microsoft. You need to lighten up man. Did you even see the title of the post? Look at what someone did! That’s why I’m showing it off, that’s why you come to the blog.

    As for bashing Microsoft, I don’t know what all the hate is about, but that’s what the site says. Do you get angry at the news when something happens you don’t agree with? No, I’d blame the people who did the thing, not the reporters.

    I even have a post lined up where I ask why people even bash Microsoft, and something “popular” is being bashed instead.

    But seriously, lighten up! It’s all fun.

    @Evan

    Fair enough, however with all due respect, these posts, although filled with jest, are beginning to be tiresome.

    I honestly didn’t even realize that you had linked to a website, and that was their logo, so that was an oversight on my part, but I think it was probably one that many would make. I suggest making it clearer. I thought it was just an inline image within your post.

    Fanaticism used to be entertaining, now it is just annoying.

  10. Evan says:

    I’ll take that into consideration with my other posts! Speaking of which, I have a ton in the bank, no idea why Dan is posting like 4 stories a day.
