Guy Kawasaki To Bloggers: You’re A Loser
Posted in SoapBox by Dan at 12:28 pm
Former Apple evangelist and current venture capitalist Guy Kawasaki told the San Jose Mercury News article that he has a “very low opinion” of the world of bloggers. “I think it is made up of about 250,000 people who are mostly 45-year-old men who live with their mother and have dead cats in their refrigerators.”
Hey Guy, I’m not that old and they aren’t cats!

Does it apply to me if I don’t blog but have dead cats in my freezer? ;P
C’mon M. Kawasaki, you should love bloggers. Isn’t venture capitalism all about rumors… who d’you think starts them, Guy?
his names Guy, therefore his point is null and void :D
no but seriously, iPhone showed up on blogs first… the Clinton sex scandal was brought to light via Drudge Report (which I still consider a blog from time to time). The world of blogging although mostly over flowing with complete shit can be considered lame but to call “bloggers” old dudes with dead animals is a lil messed up. However I don’t think he means a little more organized blogs, such as UES, or TUAW, or Gizmodo, etc. I think he means more along the lines.
FatLonelyGuy.blogger.com bloggers… which, I’m not gonna lie… is usually 45 year old men with dead cats… or 13 – 16 year old kids talking about how much they hate life, and how they are looking forward to prom.
*sigh* Is there anywhere you can read this article without signing up for anything?
Lisa, try BugMeNot.com.
Well, with the exception of this blog, I pretty much agree… There are far too many times I’ve read a blog and the only thing that comes to my mind is “This poor guy has never had sex that he didn’t pay for”.
Tensenki – I think we take that as a kinda sorta compliment :D
Thanks!
