Free Wiimote Grip Sleeve

It’s easy to discount stories of Wiimote accidents as the hyperbolical ramblings of uncoordinated butterfingers– until you yourself get a bit too excited playing Wii tennis and send a white plastic projectile shooting across the room. Sure, there’s the new and improved thicker strap, but apparently that’s still not sufficient to prevent the clumsier of users from laying waste to their houses in a fit of Red Bull fueled bowling. To remedy this, Nintendo has begun offering free rubbery silicone grip sleeves to anyone who cares to ask for one. [via]
Anyone who cares to ask, and lives in the states or Canada, it seems..
No, only Americans and Canadians can order them from the North American site. That’s just common sense. Other regions (Europe, Japan, etc.) are also offered on their respective sites.

Australians have to ring a number, so its not “free” for us, because we have to pay AU 55c for the call to receive them.
I may have to pick a couple of these up, had a guest launch a wiimote across the room the other day breaking the strap and burying the wiimote deep into couch cushions, barely missing a drunken lady friend.
