Federal Income Tax… not actually a law… completely optional
I’m shocked to discover this, but I’m a huge documentary buff, I love them… while browsing a certain online video site I stumbled upon one that literally rocked my world.
Determined to find the law that requires American citizens to pay income tax, producer Aaron Russo (”The Rose,” “Trading Places”) set out on a journey to find the evidence. This film which is neither left, nor right-wing is a startling examination of government. It exposes the systematic erosion of civil liberties in America since 1913 when the Federal Reserve system was fraudulently created. Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, a former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents and tax attorneys and authors, Russo connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, and the national identity card which becomes law in May 2008. This ID card will use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips which are essentially homing devices used to track people. This film shows in great detail and undeniable facts that America is moving headlong into a fascist police state. Wake up!

Just TRY and not pay your taxes for a few years…
Federal taxes may not be LEGAL or CONSTITUTIONAL but they are COMPULSORY because the government says so.

The income tax is repugnant to the constitution. I don’t fear elected politicians, I fear unelected administrators.

There are, give or take, 140mm taxpayers in the USA.
We can change the system next 4/15.
But one in ten of us needs to refuse to file a tax return - that’s 14mm or just 3,5% of the population.
The Feds cannot lock-up 14mm people and cannot live without the money. This peaceful protest will result in an immediate change to a tax system which seeks to punish success and rewards failure. The more successfulyou are, the higher your tax rate.
NOW is the time for peaceful civic disobedience.

Hear hear @SPREZZATURA.
Do read that first guys. It’s a good documentary by someone who knows how to make his point in film, but that doesn’t mean his point his completely accurate.

I’ve known about this for a while. A couple people I know disagree on terms of the 13th Amendment. Personally I think that taxes are necessary, but not in the form of an income tax. There is no law stating I have to follow the income tax…but I would rather not have my possessions seized illegally by the IRS for not doing so…

America is so messed up — don’t get me wrong, I’m born and raised here. But honestly, I can’t even say that I’m proud of being… or even like being so with all of this B.S. surfacing. Whatever happened to democracy in action? Our people just sit back and LET the government do these things to us because we’re too damn lazy to do anything about it ourselves. It’s about time we stand up together and do something for everyone. I feel so suppressed. So our government can break laws without punishment but the little guys get hit hard? I think not. I’m not going to take that anymore. DO SOMETHING.

If you read the constitution, specifically the sixteenth amendment, it DOES establish the legal right of the federal government to impose an income tax on all forms of income. As the constitution and all its amendments are the supreme law of the land, then it is law. Just because it does not say the word law in it’s context is irrelevant. The IRS is the collection & enforcement mechanism the federal government established to ensure people, corporations, etc… pay the tax. State governments on the other hand are separate and not all states have a state income tax. However, the states that do not usually allow their municipalities or counties or regions to impose a tax if they feel it necessary. Oh, and the sixteenth amendment does not conflict with the fifth amendment if you read it carefully. Aaron Russo’s program never really confirmed the income tax issue. When he had the chance he could have probably interviewed a supreme court justice and it would have been made clear without all the conspiracy theory stuff. However, the enforcement arm of the IRS and it’s powers to arrest and confiscate peoples property without due process is another concern. I believe there have been court cases that have penalized the IRS for that. I cannot remember the case but there was one in Massachusetts not to long ago.
