TechCrunch Adds Real Journalist, Paper Journalism Is Lame

Mr. Schonfelf was editor-at-large for Business 2.0 magazine which is now defunct if you missed that memo. This brings up an interesting thought which is by no means a new one. Is traditional journalism going to see its demise pretty soon? I’m all for seeing blogs on the come-up and this news is very good news. My only questions is, how long until you’re able to purchase an UNEASYsilence.com IPO?

Paper journalism is lame? Well that’s a retarded statement.
I wouldn’t use the demise of “Web 2.0″ as the harbinger of the end of paper-format journalism (which is not lame).
And before anyone buys into an IPO you’ll have to explain to us how you make money. ‘Cause I’m pretty sure it’s not those pixel ads ;)

But even that’s not entirely true. At the very least, traditional Journalism will at least change. I’ll take my verbal whipping all the same, though :D
People still read newspapers and magazines and SCAN websites. There will always be a market for printed goods, no matter what any hype might say. I’ve been seeing more and more articles about the death of the newspaper, the death of print, the death of this or that. Thing is, printing presses are going no where. There are still tons of books in production and still way too many people buying them to warrant ‘discontinuing’ the printed word.
