Screw those hand powered cranks and pedal powered bikes use the power generated by your body for just sitting here and reading this blog post.

Well, don’t get too excited yet. Our stagnant bodies don’t produce that much power – about 200 millivolts – hardly enough to power an iPod, but the folks at Fraunhofer Institute have figured out a way to make gadgets run off that tiny bit power.

Right now the research is going into creating medical sensors that can be stuck to your body to run off your body heat and transmit their readings. These devices would never need a battery change or any other medical procedure after it was implanted.
