Swiss Cow Bingo

Step on up, place yer bets! Where’s it gonna drop?! I’ve always had a strange affection for the Swiss. Maybe it’s their clean design or their quality chocolate, or maybe its just their unwillingness to get involved in any sort of conflict. In any case, they seem to be out of interesting things to do, as they’ve taken to betting on where on a field a cow is going to shit. I’ve got a feeling about square E-27, but that’s just me. [via]
That’s not uniquely Swiss. Americans do it too, as well as a similar activity known as “cow chip pitching”.
Again, not just Swiss – they did this as a fund raiser my senior year in high school (I grew up in a Minneapolis suburb). They divided up the football field and brought in cow. Can’t remember how much the squares were (maybe $5?).
