Sprint, Nextel, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, the list goes on. Everyone has horror and success stories for every carrier. So the question is who is your current cellphone provider?

I’ll get the ball rolling with Sprint.

ive got cingular other than the fact ive messed up phones ive never relly had a problem with them

  2. Paul B says:

    Sprint here

  3. Ian says:

Cingular/AT&T. Overall I get better reception than Big V ever gave me, and they give me 15% off my monthly bill for being in govt. Not too shabby.

  4. Ryan says:

AT&T, also have the 15% off

  5. Nate MC says:

AT&T Wireless to Cingular to at&t customer

at my old place they were the only company with coverage, now that I moved I’m thinking about switching to T-Mobile

  6. Adam says:

    Verizon….. I know it sucks..

  7. fiat lux says:

Cingular (AT&T) since 2002. They’re not perfect but I’m content.

  8. Ronald Poi says:

“Claro” in Perú… wich could be something like “Cingular” for USA…

  9. istealmusic says:

i have to say, i live in southern california and at&t sucks balls here. verizon works great (although i wouldnt mind a bit more diversity in the phone selection), but no one with cingular/at&t can get any kind of reception anywhere on campus (which is only 40 minutes from downtown los angeles)

  10. Brandon says:

Verizon…. not a single complaint. Good plan, unlimitied txt/flix/pix to ANYone, service everywhere.

  11. EuphoricaL says:

I’m not sure what a ‘cellphone’ is, but my mobile-phone provider in the UK is vodafone :-)

  12. SMASH!!!! says:

i have tmobile and only horror stories lame!

  13. Eric Cranston says:

AT&T they mess stuff up on the billing and horrible customer service, but I get reception everywhere :) (Note I have a phone with good reception too, I have friends on AT&T that don’t get reception when I do.)

  14. mark h says:

T-Mobile UK. Mostly for the unlimited internet package, but also because they gave me an HTC Hermes for 50 pounds, even though I signed up to the cheapest plan.

  15. rymo says:

Plus Gsm :) Never herd of it? Well greets from Poland ;)

  16. Nigel says:

I have Optus in Australia, the $49 cap, I pay $49/month and get $300 worth of calls, sms and data.

  17. CzarCruise says:

I have AT&T and it is actually decent here in southern california. It is better than sprint and verizon haha.

  18. Jeffrey says:

Verizon, Live in Connecticut, no complaints, never had a dropped call, best reception ever!

  19. Jerry says:

Cincinnati Bell Wireless, got a bundle deal w/ reg phone, cell, and hi speed internet for $99.

No contracts, and no complaints after 2.5yrs. Sprint, on the other hand, can bite my shiny metal ass! ($10 add-a-phone costs $20)

  20. Marc says:

Well, it started at Dobson Communications, who was bought out by Cellular One, who then in turn was bought by AT&T.

  21. Enzer Miliard says:

I have unicel….. well it’s my parent’s phone but I’m using it while I’m here at college…… the coverage for us is great till you get real close to mountains or through dense forests….

  22. Rager says:

    Verizon…
The coverage is great out at home, but I ended up stepping out into a few rainstorms on my campus visit, ruining them for me (and killing my warranty on my phone) in order to get reception, since signal is just too weak to make calls inside (Palo Alto). Plus, nobody else out here where I live uses Verizon, so the whole network calling thing doesn’t really work for me. I can’t wait for the contract to expire.

  23. Vinny says:

Just switched to T-Mobile after 5 years with Nextel. So So coverage, better plan.

  24. maijc says:

Movistar in guatemala… wait, is this just for the US?

  25. Larry says:

Cingular/at&t… Never had a problem with ‘em.

  26. Megan says:

Another Cingular/AT&T user here, overall I’m very satisfied with them. My only problem with them is the data plan pricing, but other than that I enjoy the reception and the 15% monthly discount through my employer.

  27. nick says:

I have T-Mobile and the only issue I have had with them is that they really like to lock down their phones. Luckily I unbranded my Nokia 6133 and it can do all it should have been able to do before I got it.

I have had Sprint and they are a customer service nightmare and I had Cingular before that and the signal in the area I lived in was absolutely horrid, I lived in Rockford, IL and it is one of the larger cities in IL. There simply was no excuse, I was even being lied to constantly about them adding new towers.

My first carrier was Verizon, I didn’t have them long but I remember having decent customer service experiences. I had an el cheapo phone before they got all fancy as this was about 6 years ago so I couldn’t say much about the devices they carried.

  28. azri says:

“Three” in Australia. AU$29 for 120 dollars worth of regular calls plus 70 dollars worth of 3-3 calls. Pretty decent and cheap 3G provider.

  29. Ruddy says:

    T-Mobile, lovin’ it.

  30. Nathan says:

Verizon, cause they are the only ones that work in my area.

  31. Joey says:

    helio

  32. Me says:

Sprint (sero) $30 per month, unlimited data

  33. T-Mobile in Spokane, WA. I’ve traveled all over (Hawaii, the UK, small towns in the NW U.S.) and rarely had coverage issues. No customer support issues. I’m content.

Then again, I never use anywhere close to my free minutes, I rarely send text messages, and I never have requirements beyond those two things.

  34. Marc says:

Mine has been Verizon for about 10 years, and then strangely enough I watched some of Apple’s latest announcement, passed out, and woke up an AT&T customer.

  35. Doug says:

I use Cingular/AT&T. I recently lost my phone, other than i have to pay $50 for a replacement, I have no complaints besides their data plans. I live in Texas and I have never had a problem with customer service or reception. Before I got AT&T I had Verizon and there coverage wasnt up to par and before them had Sprint wich had ridiculous prices for their plans in my area, plus the customer service sucked ass.

  36. K says:

    VERIZON in Tejas rocks!

  37. Tony says:

T-Mobile here, been using them since back when they were VoiceStream

  38. Nathaniel says:

Nextel. Employer provides it for free, as much usage as I’d like.

  39. Kimbakat says:

Verizon…I elect another vote for “SUCKS!”

I don’t get voices mail dropped into my INBOX for 30min -12 HOURS!!!! Some times they don’t show up till the next day!!!

About 40% of my calls go DIRECTLY TO VOICE MAIL and the phone doesn’t even ring!! While I’m waiting for a call!!! I doesn’t even ring..then I’m waiting extra time wait for the VM message to arrive..which could be a very long time. (THEORY: They are data mining and analyzing mesages and it is causing delays in the system)

They don’t sync well with the Mac AND on the V3M phone.. they turned off OBEX so you cannot browse the phone to retrieve photos or add sound and pictures. You are forced to buy their media..BUT GUESS WHAT..I’m not buying it! I will wait till my contract is over.

    VERIZON SUCKS THE ROD!

  41. Benji J K says:

T-Mobile here. Love it. Used it for over 4 years, they have developed quite a bit over the years. Had it in Boston, great service there, moved to LA and still great service. Can’t remember having any dropped calls. Drove all the way to LA, and it worked like a charm on the highways, thru the deserts, etc., except for maybe a couple dead spots, whereas Verizon would cut off the call everytime it switched networks.

Why pay Cingular’s charges when you can pay T-mobile and get free roaming on the cingular networks? I managed to sign up on a great plan with T-mobile and have stayed with them since. 1500 mins for $50.

  42. Bill Green says:

We’re on a Verizon family plan here, the cheapest one.

Coverage is pretty good, though coverage at home is pretty spotty (and I live less than a mile from I-75, in a city area). Customer Service has been pretty poor, though, and I’m trying to convince my parents to switch to a less restrictive provider such as T-mobile or at&t, especially now the the contract is up…

  43. t d says:

    T-Mobile UK FTW!
    My brother has Virgin UK.

  44. Matt says:

Cingular, perfect service here in Texas.

  45. PhotoJoe says:

I am happy with Sprint. I pay $30+tax for 500 minutes, unlimited text messages, unlimited data, nights and weekends free with nights starting at 7PM.

I left Verizon where I paid upwards of 80$ month for two lines to share 1000 minute with 200 text messages and no data connection. Unlimited data with verizon was an option, but at the time cost upwards of $50 per line and was not available on the family plan phones. I didn’t leave verizon due to the price though, I only discovered the sprint plan after verizon developed a problem with signal reception from my home and after being a faithful customer for over 5 years they ignored my issues for an additional year. When my contract expired I jumped ship to Sprint.

    Telenor Mobile (through workplace) (norway)

  47. T-Mags says:

nextel for about 2.5 years (used that motorola i730), then switched over to cingular/at&t, got the 15%, happy with them, i originally got a 8125, called customer support cause the battery zeroed out on me, they eventually sent me a brand new 8525 for free, problem is that i dont have 3g here where i live, but i get it a lot when i get on the road

  48. Ravi says:

Sprint for past 4 years…had U.S. cellular before…it would go roaming on Verizon network…and whenever i misdialed a number i would get the messege “Thank you for chosing Verizon Wireless.”

    Sprint…i got a gr8 plan…and service is gr8…not to mention ev-do coverage…GO ORB

    $80/mo for 4 lines w/ 1500 mins, unlimited m2m, 7pm nights n weekends
2 of the lines have unlimited internet, unlimited txt
PLUS i get another 15% off of that $80

  49. Big D says:

    T-Mo all the way

  50. GM says:

T-Mobile in the City of Angels

  51. breylen says:

at&t mostly for the iphone. Also use vodafone, t-mobile, and verizon. Happy with all but t mobile. Worst service ever.
