Nokia Prepping iPhone Killing N95

Nokia is not so secretly starting to wirelessly invade the US. This new leak from the FCC shows that this tasty new black N95 is positioning itself to compete directly with the iPhone with is beefed up 8GB of built-in memory. Yes, 8GB. Also to compete with the iPhone, this handheld uses EDGE data – Oh, Joy (Don’t worry – it will have WiFi too)! Sporting the Symbian operating system you can use its built in GPS, full featured web browser and now SlingPlayer.

Considering the current N95 with only 160MB of memory goes for $749 I can only imagine how much this beaute will cost.

    Aren’t you talking about the GSM handset, because the FCC just released its ruling over the N95 GSM headset. It doesn’t have 8gb, but it does have a micro SD slot, supposedly expanded ram. but it uses HSDPA.

    No, they actually are releasing two models… The Black 8GB version and the Silver HSDPA version.

    iPhone killer? yeah, and monkeys might fly outta my butt … this is round two for the N95 and it still runs symbian, which last time i checked (and i have a symbian powered phone) is a complete piece of unstable crap … just like windows …
