LimeWire Going Legit
Seems that EVERYONE is opening a digital music store these days (UNEASYmusic.com anyone? :P). The latest entrant to this extremely saturated market is LimeWire. Yup, the legally questionable file sharing service is pulling a Napster.
Lime Wire LLC, maker of the popular LimeWire file-sharing software, announced today that it will open a digital music store.
Initially the store will be a stand-alone website, also accessible from links in the file-sharing software. Subsequent releases will enable users to browse and purchase music directly from within the LimeWire program.
Wonder if this an attempt to keep the lawsuits away?

Who the hell is gonna use it?
What next, Bittorrent music store? Doubtful that this would do anything but prevent lawsuits, since Limewire users tend to be the types of folks that just download music w/o paying.
I’ll continue using their free service, thank you
Um, Alan….. :P
