This has to be the neatest Flash coding job I have seen in a long time. Paul Yanez has recreated the Joost user interface completely in flash, and since all the Joost content is proprietary Yanez Joost clone interacts with a slew of other services such as YouTube, Metacafe, etc…

Joost does not support browser based viewing, to use the application it must be downloaded and installed. In the last several months users have been forced to continually download and upgrade the Joost software in order to continue using Joost. The flash based version works in all browsers on all operating systems. All enhancements and upgrades are transparent to the user and the application continues to retain the user preferences since the application is hosted on a server.

friend of mine created that, it’s a dynamic PHP driven flash GUIed file browser/site for his personal server.

It’s still one of my favorite flash GUI’s to this day.

If I was Joost I would scoop this guy up with a nice Salary and Head of “Joost in Browser” dept.
