Stay tuned for quasi live reports from Apple’s town hall meeting. Speculation is new iMac and complete overhaul of .Mac. Coverage is highlights from Gizmodo, Engadget, SlashGear, MacObserver, MacNN and Macworld.

  • Apple Store is down
  • Starts Discussing iMac: “The iMac has been really successful. We will make it even better using aluminum because it’s professional and durable also recyclable, second element is glass it’s elegant and desirable”
  • New iMac will come in two sizes: 20-inch display, and 24-inch display. Both will be glossy. (My Take: These new iMacs are UGLY!
  • Specs: 2.4GHz Core 2 Extreme processor, up to 4GB of memory. ATI Radeon HD graphics card, up to 1TB of hard drive storage. 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.0 built-in. 20″ $1199 24″ $1499
  • New thinner keyboard, with USB 2.0 and bluetooth
  • New iLife announced: “Biggest jump in iLife ever”

  • .Mac is upped to 10GB of storage. .Mac $99.95, one year subscription
  • iWork Updated: Now includes “Numbers”
  • Mac mini refreshed… Specs not yet known
