Xbox 360 Price-cut Confirmed
After much speculation it’s finally been announced – the Xbox 360 will receive a price drop. The Elite model will now go for $449, the pro will cost you $349 and the lame-ass core will go for $279. These price drops take effect from August 8th, 2007 and comes just 6 days before Madden ‘08 is released. Seems like MS is poised to take this holiday season but personally, I’m still going PS3.

Are you seriously into the ps3? Tell me that’s just some sarcasm I missed ;-)
No, I’m getting a Playstation 3.
Yeah, I hear blueray movies look pretty sick.
but let us know when you feel like enjoying some real games and maybe someone here will loan you a 360…
Oooh, burn. Now tell me how lame it is that I don’t get to wait 6 months to send my console away for repairs. That’ll get me!
hahaha, hey man im just playin, but seriously my 360 bricked on me for no reason whatsoever. I called tech support and sent it in for repair, I was without it for 7 days…8 if ya count the day it broke. I have had no problem since. and I know of people that have had no issues at all. so the “repair” issue could happen on any system… not a reason to pick one over the other..
360 Elite for me all the way. For one, I like MS products, they always do what i want them to do (ok fine occasionally i get errors…but after one restart no problem)…but fanboy me aside, i like the fact that windows machines (namely my Vista :D) are able to use the 360 as a media extender for the plasma, thats just kool
Haha, I love that you’re treating this like nothing, but what should I expect? You bought it so you have to defend it, right? I’m not in the US so buying this and shipping it if something happens is not an option for me, sadly. Besides, I really want the PS3.
Hey Evan,
well in your post.. you dont mention that you’re not in the states.. actually its almost implied by the fact that nowhere in the article does it say that it is dropping its prices anywhere but u.s. and only states dollars and not any other currencies were mentioned.
So yes, I assumed you were in the states, where shipping it to xbox’ville USA would not be a problem.
True that. Though I am not in the states, we still get everything from there, just they don’t support our country in most things, like iTunes for example, so I lie and say US to get music and do online gaming :)
