Delete That Annoying U3 Partition From Thumbdrives

I hate those stupid auto launching space hogging U3 partitions on USB thumbdrives. Here is a way to delete that annoying partition on a Windows machine.

Download Drive Key Boot Utility from HP (45mb download, no registration required).

Plug your USB key into a Windows XP machin, run the app, click through all the recommended options, and let the software pulverize the drive’s U3 enhancements into oblivion. Don’t worry if it takes several minutes (with no progress bar), or if the program stops responding; just wait until it’s finished.

No hardware should come with propriety software like this crap. It’s worthless and only gives people headaches that don’t know what it is / does. I have to remove this junk from flask drives all the time because people just hate it.
