Justin.TV has always been very efficient handling server loads, despite how many viewers he gets. Reading through his site, I couldn’t figure out what server gurus he had to help keep the site ticking. Beet.tv has discovered his secret host is actually Amazon.

[They have] learned from a source at Amazon, that the streaming Flash media files created by Justin and his company’s expanding numbers of channels, are distributed by Amazon.

Amazon has made a big push in Web services and in providing content delivery services (CDN) to small and large video publishers. We understand from industry sources that Amazon is deeply underpricing the charges of established CDN companies like Akamai.

I think Amazon running their AWS program is the best thing to hit the internet since broadband. They already have the infrastructure and brain trust that understand traffic management, might as well monetize it!
