Guillermo took this picture in Porlamar, Venezuela where he found a “Google” shop. He comments:
“Google Shop: La Casa de la Lencería” (The House of Linens). Some people have no shame… I wonder what they were thinking.

ahaha, bitches gonna get 4 billion dollar lawsuit
RUN RUG DEALERS RUN!
@sob
Im not sure they are bound by the same international treaties respected here in the states and europe. More than like they wont get anything but famous for being huge idiots. Kinda like the fake iphones in china. China doesnt respect or prosicute copy right infringment or trademark infringment hence the entire country including government all running off of the same windows 98 key back in the day.
Searching for a rug…
It looks like they Kept the TM intact.
You have absolutely no idea of how common these name-copying stores are here in Venezuela. But the names they use are usually more related to what they sell.
It makes sense. After all, Engadget was already taken.
Maybe it’s not just a linen shop…that’s just the front they want you to see…it’s actually a Super Wal-Mart behind the shelves. Seeing how Wal-mart already has a store opened up down the street…it only made sense to call it Google Shop…come on…gesh, isn’t it obvious.
Just to clear something up: I didn’t take the picture, g3rswin did: http://www.flickr.com/photos/g3rswin/931431687/
