ABC Now Streams “HD” Content

ABC.com has finally unleashed a “HD” update to their extremely popular web player that showcases certain ABC shows. To take advantage of the new player you will need a relatively speedy PC and at least a continuous 2Mbps connection to the service. Pushing content at 720p and 24 fps, ABC’s player is intelligent and adjusts the picture quality based upon available bandwidth. If you meet the minimum requirements, you will see a little “HD” in the corner, but if you dip below the 2Mbps mark the picture quickly becomes a pixely mess.
