Figured all the breaking iPhone news needed to be consolidated into one post. This week homebrew hackers at the #iPhone IRC channel have enabled Apache, Python and other Open Source apps for the iPhone so you can a web server in your pocket.

Also, using jailbreak, the iPhone can be hacked to enable a SOCS proxy that will share the iPhones speedy EDGE network connection.

Mind you, loading modified software on your iPhone may void Apples warranty or cause termination from AT&T’s network.
