Figured all the breaking iPhone news needed to be consolidated into one post. This week homebrew hackers at the #iPhone IRC channel have enabled Apache, Python and other Open Source apps for the iPhone so you can a web server in your pocket.

Also, using jailbreak, the iPhone can be hacked to enable a SOCS proxy that will share the iPhones speedy EDGE network connection.

Mind you, loading modified software on your iPhone may void Apples warranty or cause termination from AT&T’s network.

Well not if you want to USE the iPhone.

Well it looks like you can actually USE the iPhone on another network with iActivator.

well all these iPhone hacks make me feel like a dullard since I just enjoy using mail and safari on the go.
