Floating around the internet is a alleged video of what the next iPod UI of the 6th generation iPod would look like. If this video proves to be true, this would be the first radical design change in the iPod OS since it launched. Although the posters of the video claim the that the footage is real, there are many inconsistencies that could certainly prove that the video is indeed fake (Take note of the second hand in the clock video).
The 6th generation iPod is still rumored to sport a click wheel and small screen design, but nobody is sure if this is the “OS X” iPod the Steve promised a few months ago.
Feel free to embed the video above (as well as the other two videos below the jump) on your blog.
Lots of people are arguing against this being the new UI for the iPod. My food for thought is, could this possibly be the iPhone Nano UI?
Any thoughts?
I don’t see any videos. I think your publishing software is stripping them out, or you aren’t including them correctly.
Who says the 6th gen will have click wheel and small screen? It’s been two years since the last iPod redesign, and I’m betting it will have multitouch.
It strips it out of the feeds, but in Safari, FireFox and IE I am able to see the videos.

the videos are hosted at some video service thats powered by adbrite. and as you can guess by the name adbrite earns its money with something different than hosting videos.
so if you can’t see the videos you got some ad filter running on your system, like the ‘adblock’ or ‘adblock plus’ extensions in firefox or that ‘rightclick->block content-> …’ feature in opera. maybe even the good old HOSTS file in c:\windows\system\drivers\etc. if you find some way to disable the filter you will be able to watch the videos.
We are actually working on an inhouse FLV player that will eliminate the AdBrite player. We use AdBrite so we can best gauge metrics on out video content and make it VERY easy for people to repost the video content in their blogs. If anyone has any recommendations I would more then glad to review them.
Thats sick UI…
I like it! It’s SO not Apple (it’s not “wow” enough :P ), so I think its fake. Plus It’s not coverflow… but I’m getting the 6G iPod no matter what since I’ve been waiting patiently.
If it’s not widescreen and is missing WiFi, I’m out.
