FlickIM, if Apple won’t give it up, someone else will
Any iPhone user who relies on instant messaging as a crucial method of communication with contacts on the computer wills surely scratch their heads wondering where iChat is. Where is that aqua colored chat bubble on the iPhone applications list?
Until Apple decides to roll out a mobile version of their iChat application for iPhone users, customers will have no other choice but to rely on the SMS version of AIM, or one of a handful of web based interfaces for accessing their AIM contacts.
Personally, the choices were less than ideal due to the fact that none of the available apps actually "fit" or work seamlessly with the iPhone’s Safari browser. Fortunately, a private startup made the decision to offer their own interface for iPhone users craving a little AIM instant messaging love.
Point your iPhone browser to FlickIM and say hello to one of if not the best AIM interface for iPhones (to date).

http://www.meebo.com has an iphone specific user interface that I find very simple and apple-esq. I’ll check out flickim!
