Finally Blackberry DUN For Mac’s

If you are a Blackberry user who just so happens to have a Mac, you can understand how frustratingly impossible the task of tethering your device to your machine is. Matter of fact you are losing money not doing it on Sprint, who offers free DUN (dial up networking) access on all Blackberry accounts.
iMobimac understands Blackberry users frustrations and has created software that enables DUN support for Macs. Still 15 days away from launching details are still a bit sketchy on the *method* of DUN. Will it provide the coveted true USB tethering, or rely on the Bluetooth protocol for DUN? None the less it is DUN and in 15 days we’ll know the answer.
If you want to know the second this product launches, iMobimac has a mailing list set up on their site that will fire off a note when this mythical application launches.
On a related note, if you want DUN support for Windows Mobile devices we recommend PDANet for Windows computers. We also recommend USB Modem for the PalmOS and Macs.
Rest assured that in the coming days more information will be leaked out about this application, and it will not rely on BlueTooth as the dialup, that I can guarentee.
What it will allow, is the ability to use any BlackBerry (Even the ancient 7520’s!) to be used as a tethered USB modem for Mac computers.
As soon as information can be “comfortably” leaked, you all will for sure be one of the first to know!
Anyone know a good, cheap Verizon phone for Bluetooth tethering for DUN on a Mac? Something basic?
with the new BlackBerry on the Horizon I may just box up my iPhone for a couple months until firmware updates make there way to the public and get my hands on one of these little guys to play with.
