Floola is a free cross-platform app that you can install on your iPod or computer that allows you to manage the media on your iPod without iTunes.

You can do the usual tasks such as manage all of your songs, videos, podcasts and playlists. But Floola also has a superior “search and destroy” function for duplicate songs. The best benefit about the application is it allows you to also extract songs from an iPod, so when a friend visits you can “borrow” some music. But don’t delete iTunes JUST yet. Foola requires your iPod to successfully connect to iTunes just once.
