Uh, guys? Whether you like hiphop/rap/whatever or not doesn’t matter. It’s still FUNNY. He could have done this with a pop, rock, or even operatic song and it’d be funny.

So because I have different opinions in music than you, that means I have to “listen to more music”? My musical collection is most likely far larger than yours, as well as more diverse. If you want something to analyze, go read a book. I still to something that I can enjoy at face value.

Oh come on, this is such sophomoric pseudo humor. There any number of songs from *many* musical genres where the lyrics can be ridiculed when taken out of their musical and cultural context. And sure, making fun of any one song is no big deal but it seems pretty clear that Chris is implying that Buy You A Drink is representative of Hip Hop being particularly stupid. That’s just as misleading as it would be if you used the lyrics from Who Put the Bomp (”Ram-a-lama-a-ding-dong”, etc.) as representing the intelligence of rock and roll. Besides, Hip Hop, Rock and Roll and all dance oriented music is made to move to, not analyze. You know, dance, as in move your hips and ass, not just twitch your arms like a sex-starved mime.

The really pathetic thing is that smug-medians like Cute-With-Chris (doesn’t that name say it all?) think that pick-pocketing various tidbits from popular culture and foisting lame, 23rd generation Chevy Chase imitations is actually funny or insightful.

Oh wait, now I get it Chris, it’s when you randomly shoot folks in the head and blood spatters on the horse that the real humor comes through. I mean it’s sooooo shocking and then it’s like we like know your going to like do it but it’s like soooo funny.

Gak, stuff like this would be have been hard pressed get a broadcast audience back when shows had to first prove that people actually thought they was funny before they would air them. Now anyone can put up a vanity web site and pretend that they’re stars with real talent. But the condescension of CuteswithChris is just drab.
