The Craftsman CompuCarve combines a little Bill Gates and a little Bob Vila. The etcher can carve complicated patterns into wood up to 5 inches high and 14 1/2 inches long. It maybe out of reach for the budding craftsman at $1,899 a pop but for that price you get all the software and cables you need to make all your shop mates jealous.
