According to the ever elusive Boy Genius, it seems Cingular AT&T has decided on a text/data pricing plan for the iPhone.

$34 and $44 for unlimited data and 2,000 or unlimited text messages

Although this is all speculation, BG says these figures come from a very knowledgeable source.

Also on the subject of iPhone Apple Insider has posted some interesting details regarding how the iPhone is shipping.

Awaiting the freight at each location on Sunday were armed personnel, who were reportedly hired by Apple through its courier’s ground handling agent and then cleared by the Transportation Security Administration. Armed guards are extremely unusual for freight coming out of the Asian sector, those familiar with the matter explained, and are typically reserved for shipments containing riches such as gold and diamonds.

Once on the ground, the iPhone shipments were to be broken down under the watch of the armed personnel, who would then observe the loading of the freight onto ground vehicles and become party to its transportation outbound.

It remains unclear where the eagerly sought Apple gadgets will spend the better part of the business week ahead of their planned launch Friday afternoon at 6:00 p.m. local time. It’s possible, however, they could begin turning up in stockrooms of Apple and AT&T retail stores days in advance.

How thinks that this device is not nearly worth all the hype its getting?

Hmm Dan, for not being a fan of the iPhone you sure seem to post a lot about it ;-) Haha maybe someone has a secret love for the iPhone. Hmm?

I think it’s well worth the hype, Apple took on the phone from a fresh perspective. And that’s greatly appreciated from my perspective. I’ll be purchasing one for sure. There will always be those tech boys who measure everything against tech specs, but if that was all that mattered PS3 would be the best gaming system on the planet and the Wii would be a joke. Alas, not the case. Apple interfaces and design can’t be beat, and the interface to the iPhone is just a thing of beauty.

  4. At the very least it will get the other phone makers to come out with cooler and nicer phones outside of Asia. And that is very good. I’m sick of everyone person having a razor. -_-
